Additional offer: German Conversation Club
For registered students at Edeltraud language school, all offers of our German Conversation Club are free. Not included are entrance fees and tickets for excursions. Any additional costs are to be covered by the participants themselves.
Placement test
As a new student at Edeltraud Language School, or if you have taken a break of at least four weeks, you are required to complete a free placement test before we can confirm your class and level. No appointment is necessary, and the test can also be taken online. If the placement test is taken online only, the school reserves the right, after consultation with the teaching staff, to assign the student to a different level if deemed necessary.
Course books
Edeltraud uses the books of the Schubert-Verlag for the levels B2 and C1 and “Wolkenkratzer” for the levels A1 – B1. The course books are not included in the course fee. Students can buy the book at the office in Munich or on the first day of class.
National holidays
There will be no courses on official holidays (local, regional, and national) and they will not be retaken or refunded. Students may make arrangements with their teachers concerning missed lessons.
Cancellations
All cancellations have to be submitted in writing at least 1 entire week (5 working days) prior to course start. If the cancellation is made after the expiry of the stated deadline or if the participant fails to attend the course, a cancellation fee of 100% of the course fee will be charged. The participant is entitled to nominate a suitable replacement participant who will take over the course under the same conditions. The participant retains the right to prove that no damage or a lesser amount of damage has been incurred by the language school.
Minimum number of participants in our German language courses
The minimum number of participants for a course is 8. If only 6 to 7 participants register for a course, we reserve the right to reduce the number of hours or merge classes. Refunds or partial refunds for this reason are not possible. If there are less than 6 registrations, we reserve the right to cancel the course or merge classes. In case of course cancellation by the school, all paid course fees will be fully refunded.
ATTENTION: For language visa students, the rules for visa students apply.
Irregular attendance
In the case of irregular attendance, we cannot refund the course fees or offer replacement classes. Students may make arrangements with their teachers concerning missed courses. Withdrawal of the registration after course start is not possible.
Follow-up course
If you are already attending a German course at Edeltraud and would like to attend the course in the following month, you must register in good time, either in the office or by email. There is no automatic course place reservation.
Force Majeure
Occasional cancellation of classes due to exceptional circumstances will not be compensated.
